All children enrolled in Head Start receive the full range of services provided for them to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Ten percent of the total program enrollment slots are reserved for children with disabilities who receive additional services to meet their special needs. These additional services are provided directly by Head Start, Burkburnett ISD, or other agencies. These services may include:

Each child's classroom learning program is individualized to meet each child's developmental needs. In an active learning environment, teachers focus on the total child with learning opportunities to build self-esteem, social skills, health, and nutrition understanding. Pre-math and reading skills are stressed in readiness for school.
