The Bulldog Way

VISION: Formal education is a launching point, preparing students for a future unknown.

MISSION:

We Will:

  • Inspire passion for life-long learning

  • Increase opportunities to maximize potential

  • Focus on the long term success of our Bulldog community

The Bulldog Way is the WHY, WHAT, and HOW we do business in Burkburnett ISD. It is what we as a district commit to doing for ALL of OUR kids and what ALL of OUR actions should align with. The Bulldog Way defines the collective commitments, the stated priorities, and the personal actions that support The Bulldog Way.

This approach forces us to ensure that ALL of OUR actions align with OUR purpose of providing OUR students with high-quality instruction in ALL learning spaces. In BISD, we truly embrace the belief that ALL students can learn at high levels. While this may look different for each student, it does not alter the end goal for each student.

In order for The Bulldog Way to become the foundational framework for how we do business, we need you, our students, parents, Sheppard AFB, and community, to engage in the process with us. We ask you to buy into the commitments, priorities, and supportive behaviors that serve as the focal points for OUR purpose. We are blessed to be in a community that is supportive of the school system. However, we are asking you to help us take this support to the next level. As part of the newly implemented BISD Community Based Accountability System, the district will report out the progress OUR students are making in all aspects of their academic journey. We ask that you help us celebrate these accomplishments throughout the community and that you believe in and commit to supporting The Bulldog Way in your own personal way. It truly does take a village to raise a child, and as a community, we are tasked with raising 3,305 of them collectively. We thank you for your support and look forward to collaborating with you in many ways!
