Head Start is an all-day pre-k type program that serves children who meet specific criteria. To be eligible for Head Start children must be 3 or 4 on or before September 1st. Families must also meet one of the following criteria:

• 1. Meet Federal Poverty Guidelines.

• 2. Currently receive TANF, SSI, or SNAP.

• 3. Currently Homeless.

• 4. Currently in Foster Care.

Documents needed for Application

Child's:

• Official Birth Certificate

• Social Security Card

• Shot Record

• Medicaid/Insurance Card

 Parent's:

• ID Card

• Proof of Residence (utility bill with your name and address on it, lease agreement, notarized letter stating place of residence)

• Proof of Income for all adults in the home (W-2, Proof of Child Support, 1040 Tax Return, Check Stubs, Foster Care Paperwork, Proof of SNAP/TANF/SSI Documentation.)
