Guess who just turned 100 years old!!! The Burkburnett Middle School main building did, that’s who!!! Built in 1923, the main building served as the High School until the current High School opened in 1964. Buildings during that time were built to stand the test of time (100 years of teenagers are evidence of that). You can see the original pic below (notice the car) and a more recent pic.
The Middle School building has received some renovations over the years and is still the prettiest building in town (I’m a little biased of course). The building is in good shape and functions quite well as our Middle School. We are planning for a late Spring celebration event and will provide more info as we get closer!
