We’re excited to share some wonderful news from our local education community. Burkburnett Middle School has been recognized as a National Unified Champion School by Special Olympics Texas - a prestigious designation that places them alongside major universities like Texas Tech and TCU.
This recognition highlights the school’s outstanding commitment to inclusion through their Unified program, which brings together students with and without disabilities in sports, leadership activities, and school-wide engagement initiatives.
The program embodies Burkburnett ISD’s “All Means All” philosophy and is creating positive ripple effects throughout the region, inspiring other local school districts to develop similar inclusive programs.
