On May 2, 2026, Burkburnett ISD voters approved both Bond 2026 propositions. The bond package includes funding for school facility improvements and recreational facility projects across the district.

Election Results

Proposition A — School Facilities

Proposition A passed with 1,143 votes in favor and 647 votes against. This proposition authorizes $20,800,000 for school facilities and related district improvements.

Proposition B — Recreational Facilities

Proposition B passed with 1,066 votes in favor and 705 votes against. This proposition authorizes $8,000,000 for recreational facility improvements and related projects.

Once again, BISD and the Board of Trustees would like to say a big THANK YOU to our community and to our supporters who live outside of Burkburnett for voting to pass our bond propositions. In order for school districts to thrive and provide kids with the best educational experiences possible, you have to have a community that buys in and shows up when needed. Great schools don’t exist without a great community. We are blessed to have that here in Burkburnett in a big way!

Our kids will benefit from this bond election in many ways for years to come. In turn, those same students will benefit the community of Burkburnett when they graduate.
