BHS PALS came to BMS last Friday to visit with our High School Prep classes about what to expect as a freshman in high school. Our 8th graders had some great questions for our BHS PALS.

Dr. Owen will be live on the Burkburnett ISD Facebook page on Thursday, January 22, at 12:20 PM, with special guest Jody Littleton, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.
If you have any questions for Dr. Owen, please submit them in the comment section on our Facebook post in advance, and he will address them live. Please keep all questions focused on district- or campus-level policies, processes, or facilities. Dr. Owen will not be answering questions regarding specific personnel or student situations. He will begin with a district update, followed by responses to your submitted questions. The huddle will conclude with a live Q&A, allowing participants to ask questions in real time.
Please note the daytime scheduling: Dr. Owen is filming during school hours so our video students can benefit from this hands-on learning experience. If you are unable to watch live, a replay will be available. We hope you will take the time to join these huddles and find both the information and format beneficial.

Mrs. Duff's 8th grade Math students did a transformations project before Christmas. When they had finished, they were able to be creative and decorate it however they chose. The posters were then voted on for the top winner. Congrats to our Toy Story winners with 41% of the votes!!!

Students in Mrs. Spencer's, Mrs. Sproles', & Mrs. Welvaert's math classes learned about ratios and completed an activity using marshmallows. They got to enjoy a sweet treat after they completed their work!

Coach Welch’s and Coach Scott’s Outdoor Ed classes created homemade fishing lures using the knowledge they have learned this semester of fishing knots, attractants to fish, and types of fish in Texas.
