6th grade Social Studies students created different elements for the celebration Dia de Los Muertos - students colored sugar skulls, made papel picado, and marigolds ahead of the Latin American holiday celebrated November 1-2.

Congratulations to our BMS UIL Concert Choir members who participated in the TMEA Region 7 Middle School Choir Clinic & Concert at WF Legacy HS. Our kids shined so bright and represented BISD with such excellence and pride. We are extremely proud of the work all the students did to be members of this choir. They learned so much from the clinician, made tremendous progress as the day moved forward, they made new friends with other students in our region, and their final concert was phenomenal. The Bulldog Way was definitely on display in how they represented our program, our school, our district and our Region 7 Vocal Music. Way to go BMS UIL Choir students!!!🖤🧡

7th grade science classes created Zombie motion graphs by measuring distance/time and plotting them on a graph.  

This week's BMS Cheer Top Dog Award!!! 🧡🖤 This cheerleader has proven themselves to be at the top of their game and deserves to be recognized as the leader of the pack & would like to recognize Mrs. Welvaert as the Top Dog with the same qualities!

Red Ribbon week kicked off on Friday where students wore red!

Since the high school game has been rescheduled, we will have Superhero theme day tomorrow, Thursday, October 23. Red Ribbon Week will kick off Friday, October, 23 - wear Red!

The Varsity football game vs. Brock scheduled for 10/23 at 7:00 has been moved to Thursday 10/23 at 6:00 due to threat of inclement weather. JV and 9th games scheduled for Thursday in Brock and home have been cancelled.

BMS UIL Concert Choir welcomed Jason Mincy this week at BMS. Jason taught in the north Texas area, to include Nocona and Wichita Falls, for several years, and is now in his 4th year at Navasoto HS, located between College Station and Houston.  Mr. Mincy worked with our singers on some warm-up exercises to improve articulation and breathing that projects a fuller and more mature tone. He also listened to the students sing through some of their TMEA Region 7 music, to prepare for the upcoming concert on 10/25 at WF Legacy HS. Our students were attentive, worked well and really enjoyed visiting and singing with Mr. Mincy.
