Burkburnett ISD is excited to welcome Marcelo Campolino as our new Head Girls Soccer Coach! Coach Campolino has 19 years of experience coaching at the youth, high school, and D1 /D2 collegiate levels. He has served as an assistant coach for the Midwestern State University men's and women's soccer teams as well as the Northern Illinois University men's soccer team. Additionally, he was the head coach for U-14/U-15 boys and U-14/U-19 girls competitive soccer teams for six years, a volunteer assistant coach for the Falls Town Flyers, and has served as an assistant and head soccer coach at various international schools. In addition to his exceptional coaching experience Coach Campolino also has a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and has earned various certifications in sports functional training, injury prevention, Functional Movement Systems, personal training, weightlifting, physical education, and sports nutrition. Additionally, he has coached several other high school sports. Coach Campolino is married to Roana and has a 10 year old daughter. We are confident that Coach Campolino will help our athletes soar to new levels with his expertise and dedication to youth. We are looking forward to seeing what our Lady Bulldogs are able to accomplish under his leadership! Let's give Coach Campolino a warm Burkburnett welcome!

LAST WEEK TO PURCHASE GRADUATION PHOTOS-DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, JUNE 21st! From Casey Oliver Photography: This is a link to all the photos that I took at the Burkburnett Commencement Ceremony on May 31st. Since there are a large amount of photos – I broke it up into Categories for easier viewing. To view the images - open the gallery and if you will look to the top left and you will see 4 tabs: Highlights - contains the Class Photo of them throwing their hats Processional - this folder contains the entrance of graduates and some candids before the graduation started Ceremony, Color Guard, Speeches, Choir/Band, Scholarships - this folder contains photos of all that is listed as well as candids of some of the graduates. Receiving Diploma - this folder contains each student receiving their diploma Exit - this folder contains their exit (with a big ole smile on their face!) They are all in order as the evening occurred. If you would like to purchase a package/photo – all you have to do is click on the photo of your child and click the shopping cart on the upper right. It will take you into the store for you to select either a package or individual print sizes. All of the "Receiving Diploma" photos come with a customized border (see sample photo in the Highlights tab). If you have any questions or need any assistance – please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am asking that everyone please order by the deadline of Friday, June 21st for ordering. After that date I will place one large order and when they come back in I will mail each person's order using the info provided with the order. I always enjoy celebrating alongside you! ALPS Camp was full of smiles and fun this week! Students created their own instrument/music, homemade paint/self portraits, and stop motion animation.

Our BHS Varsity and JV Cheer teams had a great time at the University of Oklahoma for the UCA Cheer Camp. They learned a lot and had a wonderful experience! They received numerous spirit sticks and blue ribbons. 3 girls received the Pin it Forward Award and 7 girls were named All American! Varsity Cheer got 3rd place in their Camp Routine, JV got 1st in their Camp Routine, and 2nd in the Spirit Championship. We can't wait to see what these teams accomplish this year!

🌞 Hello Summer! 🌞 School's out and summer is officially here! After a fantastic year of learning and growing, it's time for our students, teachers, and staff to enjoy a well-deserved break. Whether you're heading to the beach, exploring new hobbies, or just relaxing at home, we hope your summer is filled with fun, adventure, and lots of sunshine.

Due to the weather forecast for this week, we will be moving graduation. Our BHS Graduation will now take place at the Kay Yeager Coliseum and Multi-Purpose Events Center in Wichita Falls located at 1000 5th St. Graduation will still be this Friday, but THERE WILL BE A NEW TIME. GRADUATION WILL NOW START AT 7:00 PM. There will be no restrictions on how many family members can attend. So again, Graduation will be held Friday, May 31st at 7:00 PM at the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls. Senior students must report no later than 6:00 PM. The high school will send out more info to senior students and parents throughout the week.

No school on Memorial Day, May 27th. Let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country. Enjoy the day with family and friends, and reflect on the true meaning of this important holiday.
