Your words of encouragement can make a lasting impact. Each recognition will be printed on a certificate and presented to the staff member as a meaningful reminder of the difference they make. The Bulldog Basics are the everyday behaviors that reflect the values of the Bulldog Way.
By choosing kindness, honesty, respect, responsibility, perseverance, and supporting one another, our staff helps create a positive and welcoming school culture. When we practice these principles every day, the Bulldog Way comes to life in our classrooms, hallways, and throughout our community.
Bulldog Basics Tenets
1. Treat others with kindness.
2. No matter the circumstances, always be honest.
3. Clean up after yourself.
4. Try your best, even when it is difficult.
5. Acknowledge each other in appropriate ways.
6. Be teachable/coachable.
7. Respectfully stand up for what you believe in, while respecting others' comments, opinions, and ideas.
8. If you see a friend struggling, let an adult know.
9. Find the good in others and speak it.

Operation Homefront’s Military Child of the Year® Awards are now in their 19th year, recognizing outstanding military children ages 13–18.

Seven recipients will receive $10,000, a laptop, donated gifts, and a 3-day trip to Washington, D.C. with their families.

Children can be nominated by anyone who knows them, including teachers, friends, family members, or siblings. The program is free and open to children of active-duty, Reserve, National Guard, Gold Star, and retired service members.

🐾 We are asking Bulldog Nation to consider nominating an outstanding military-connected child. Last year, BHS student Raegan Bradbury was a semi-finalist.
