The stands were left in pretty bad shape after last Friday's game. We appreciate your attention to this at both home and away games, as we do not want to leave trash at anyone else's stadium either. The first phase of the track restoration has been completed. We will open the track to public use beginning today. The second phase will be the striping of the track. That will take place in the next few weeks. We will need to close the track again for that. Please keep dogs, bikes, and cleats off the track to help keep it in good shape. The flashing is not intensive and is not a rapid strobe. But, we want to make sure the public is aware of this feature.

Shout out to our BHS Volleyball team!! They engaged in a Scavenger Hunt yesterday to collect needed food items for our local Grace Ministries. The team collected 204 lbs for the cause. Thank you for setting such a great example and for showing how great our students are in BISD!
BISD will be resurfacing our track beginning the end of this week. Our track is due for this routine maintenance in order for us to host track meets. Unfortunately, we will need to lock down the track for public use during this project. We appreciate the public's understanding.
Due to the extreme heat projected for Thursday, the home football scrimmage times have changed.
JV teams will play at 7 pm with the Varsity following at 8:30 pm.

Just a reminder that elementary students (grades 1st - 5th) from Tower, Evans, and Overton are participating in a combined choir to perform at the Staff Convocation on Friday, August 11th around 8:45 am. Rehearsals are Tuesday & Wednesday, Aug 8th - 9th, from 10:00 to 11:30 am at Overton Ray. If interested, reply to this post and Brenda Richison, Tower Music Teacher, will send more details.
