Please help us welcome Connor Johnson to BISD as a technology facilitator!
Connor is a graduate of BISD and we are excited to welcome him back as an employee!
Connor graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in accounting and financial management in May of this year.
Through academic projects and personal exploration Connor has gained experience with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Google Classroom, and Canvas. Additionally, he has experience with data analysis and reporting and technical troubleshooting and support. Connor also served as an officer in numerous organizations at Abilene Christian University that required him to lead presentations and coordinate workshops.
In his spare time Connor enjoys reading books, playing board games with family and friends, and watching football and basketball.
When asked what he is looking forward to about working in BISD Connor stated, “BISD has been a major part of my life, and I am looking forward to giving back to the community that has made me who I am today. My entire family is associated with BISD in one way or another, so I think this will be a great opportunity for me to serve the community.”
Welcome, Connor! We are excited to have you on our team!

Please help us give a warm BOOMTOWN welcome to Grace Weaver!
Grace will be joining us as an ART teacher at Burkburnett High School. She graduated from Midwestern State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major emphasis in painting and a minor in education.
She has spent the last two years at Barwise Middle School teaching art, interpersonal studies, and leadership. She also worked at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art for three years throughout college and returned last year to teach workshops.
In her spare time she loves to read, paint, embroider, play games with friends, and spend time with her dog, Frida.
Ms. Weaver chose to become an educator because teachers were the people who encouraged her the most and she wants to be that difference in someone else’s life. She is excited to build positive relationships with coworkers, students, and community members and loves the concept of a close knit community and working together for the betterment of the community’s future.
We are excited to have you part of our team, Ms. Weaver!

🌟 Welcome to the Burkburnett ISD Family, Ashleigh Tucker! 🌟
We are excited to introduce Ashleigh as our newest Agriculture Science Teacher!
Ashleigh brings an impressive background to our team, graduating from Tarleton State University in 2012 with a degree in Agricultural Extension and Industry. With 12 years of experience as an educator and 4 years specifically teaching Agriculture Science, she's ready to make a tremendous impact on our students.
Education runs in Ashleigh's family, and her passion for learning is evident. As she shares, "I come from a long line of educators, and I've always had a genuine love for school. Over the years, I've noticed that many students don't share that same enthusiasm for learning. This observation has driven my mission to help all students find success—no matter their background or the path they choose after high school."
When she's not in the classroom, Ashleigh stays busy with her family raising and showing goats, playing golf with her husband, and enjoying hunting and fishing adventures.
Ashleigh is enthusiastic about joining our community, saying "I'm looking forward to becoming part of a strong and supportive school community that values student growth and achievement. I'm excited to help build meaningful relationships with students, foster their interest in agriculture, and contribute to programs that not only prepare them for future careers but also instill lifelong skills and values."
Please join us in giving Ashleigh a warm Burkburnett welcome! We can't wait to see how she'll inspire our students in agriculture and beyond! 🌾
Welcome aboard, Ashleigh! 🎉
