*Remember, as you look at the initial iReady report this is a baseline before grade-level instruction began. These reports help our teachers determine areas of growth and help students set their growth goals for the year. We are eager to watch our students meet and surpass their goals for the year!*
Our performance is this Friday, September 11th prior to the High School football game. All students should be at the Burkburnett Bulldog Stadium at 6:15 p.m. and we will meet inside the gate near the field house, to the south of the field. The attire will be any Burkburnett t-shirt (or any white/orange or black shirt) and dark colored shorts/pants/jeans. We will be lying down for part of the song, so we ask that the girls do not wear skirts.
All students will get in for free, as they do for all Burkburnett sporting events, and adult tickets are $5 at the gate (add $1 if purchased online), and military $4. Parents can pay with cash or credit at the gate. We hope you will stay for the game as our football games are fun family events!
After our performance, we will take the students back to the same place where we lined up, and sit them down. Then, you may pick up your child there. As a safety measure, no child will be allowed to go find their parents in the bleachers.

Bulldog Basics Tenets

Grandparent's Day is coming up soon! We highly recommend obtaining a Fast Pass on September 14th, 15th, or 16th from Mrs. Diane at the front office. This will help you avoid the long line for check-in on the day of the event. Grandparents can purchase a lunch from the cafeteria for $5.50 or bring an outside lunch to share with their grandchild. Please reach out if you have questions.
Our arrival and dismissal procedures are becoming well practiced and quicker. There are a few things we want to address. During arrival, please make sure you pull up to the furtherest available number spot. Please prepare your child to exit the vehicle quickly on the passenger side. We need to keep children out of the passing lane so please prepare them to move to the passenger side to exit.
During dismissal, please be aware we enter dismissal procedures ahead of time. We will not be able to track down a child for a parent who is attempting to avoid the pick up line. Please plan ahead and notify the office of appointments the day before the appointment so the teacher can be informed and pickup plans adjusted.

As Burkburnett ISD’s Social Worker, Lauren Unruh collaborates with administrators, counselors, teachers, community agencies, and parents/guardians to help ensure students and families have the support and resources they need.
If you have a question or need assistance, Mrs. Unruh is available by phone or email. Staff and parents/guardians can also submit a referral through the BISD referral form.

We are off to a wonderful start! I wanted to take a moment to let you know that we will not be accepting outside visitors during lunch until August 31st. The reason for this is so students can learn the cafeteria procedures and get used to the cafeteria setting. Parents coming mid-day too early can cause confusion and tears with the realization that the school day is not over and the student isn't going home with the parent. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming you after August 31st.
The 2026-27 school year begins tomorrow! We are looking forward to having our Bulldogs back on campus!
