Reminder! On Thursday, July 30th, I.C. Evan Elementary will host a Kindergarten Round-up from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. This is an optional event for students and parents to tour the school, meet the kindergarten team, receive information about procedures, and have access to assistance with registration. Please note that on July 30th, students and parents will not be informed of their Kindergarten teacher or classroom. That announcement will take place on August 10th which is our Meet the Teacher event. We look forward to seeing you soon! Have a wonderful summer!
The first day of school is a month away and we wanted to share information about our Meet the Teacher event and provide school supply lists. For our veterans, the process will be the same as the 2025-2026 school year. We hope this helps our new families. Please reach out if there are any questions.
**Please note that our PreK 3 year olds with Mrs. Simmons will have an alternative plan. That plan will be shared with the specific families in Mrs. Simmons PreK 3 year old class before the beginning of school.**

Mrs. Smiley’s first grade class wrote letters to Mrs. Longoria’s kindergarten class, giving advice about how to be successful in first grade. Students then were to share their ideas with the upcoming first graders🧡
BISD Free Summer Meal Program begins June 1st at Overton Ray Elementary!
Dr. Owen will be LIVE on our Burkburnett ISD Facebook page Monday, May 11th at 12:20 PM. If you have questions for Dr. Owen, please ask them here in the comment section below in advance, and he will address them live. Please keep all questions focused on policies, processes, or facilities at the district or campus level. Dr. Owen will not be answering any questions about specific personnel or student situations.
Dr. Owen will give a district update and then answer your submitted questions, and will end the Bulldog Huddle with a live Q & A that will allow you to ask questions in real-time.
Please note the daytime scheduling: Dr. Owen is filming during school hours so that our video students can benefit from this hands-on learning experience. If you can't watch live, you can always catch the replay. We hope you will take the time to join us!
