Macy the Therapy Dog visited Mrs Amanda’s Head Start class today as part of our Family and Pets theme. The class discussed what pets need to be healthy and happy. They were surprised to learn that Macy wears a seatbelt in the car just like they do, and were impressed by her photo ID badge she wears to volunteer at HOWF. After learning about Macy, her toys, food, water and veterinarian visits, the children added a page in their journals about her.
