There will be no school on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.
Classes will resume on Wednesday, November 12th.

Mrs. Hughes' class Orange Day Shenanigans 🎃 they all wore something orange today after learning all about the color orange and pumpkins this month! Today they enjoyed yummy orange snacks, and carved a pumpkin to explore the insides. The students made fun sensory bags!

Mrs. Skinner‘s class learned all about community workers and the important roles they play in our school. Each student chose a school community worker and wrote a heartfelt letter to thank them for everything they do. Today they probably delivered their letters in person and share their appreciation face-to-face what a beautiful way to celebrate the people who help make our school such a special place.

A few super heroes from around campus! 🦸🦹🧡

While learning about community workers, how they help us, and how we can show kindness to each other, Mrs. Herring's PreK students colored and made letters to the community workers at our school of their choice. On Tuesday and Wednesday we delivered those letters to the community workers and told them thank you for helping us at our school!

It's almost time for our annual book fair! Evan's book fair will be held November 7th - November14th. Volunteers are needed! Please use the link below to sign up. Today, the BISD Fire Department performed their annual fire safety program for our students!

In math, Ms. Matt's class learned about Braille during their Connect to Culture unit. Students then got to feel the braille room numbers.

Mrs. Smiley is Evans Staff Member of the Month for October! This is a little of what our staff had to say about Mrs. Smiley: Her kindness, patience, and dedication make such a difference not just for our students, but for everyone lucky enough to work beside her. We enjoy going into her class and working with her everyday. She is a constant source of positivity and joy in our building. Her smile lights up the room, and her contagious enthusiasm uplifts everyone, even on the toughest days. She constantly goes above and beyond, staying late to ensure the best outcomes for her students and supporting her teammates with dedication and kindness. Her hard work is matched only by her huge heart, making her a joy to have in the building. When a student is having a difficult day, she redirects them with love and respect, making sure they understand her expectations for the future. Every morning she is so kind in the hallway, she makes all students and staff feel so welcome. She always has a smile on her face no matter how hard her day is. Our students are lucky to have such a wonderful teacher. Congratulations Mrs. Smiley!
