During April, the Month of the Military Child, we are highlighting some of our wonderful military students and the art they created to show what it means to be a military kid. We truly believe military kids are like jets—soaring above and leaving a trail of awesomeness behind. Check out today's student! #MonthOfTheMilitaryChild

To help celebrate Month of the Military Child, along with Sheppard Elementary, our S2S students were able to design and help set up some decorations for Sheppard AFB's two gates. Purple Up!

All kindergarten students enjoyed completing an animal research project and presenting their findings to their class! Each student was given an animal and researched their habitat, diet and facts they learned! Way to go KG! ☺️🦊🐻🐼🐷

Dear Tower Parents and Guardians,
This is a friendly reminder that starting today, Monday, March 31, 2025, we are adjusting the school hours by 5 minutes both in the morning and the afternoon. This adjustment will allow us to have a day off on Friday, April 18, 2025.
As a result, school will now start at 7:40 AM and end at 3:20 PM.
Please note that the tardy bell will ring at 7:45 AM. Students arriving after this time will be marked tardy.
Thank you for your understanding.
BISD was proud to host resiliency influencer Brooks Gibbs. On Monday night, he delivered an inspirational message empowering BISD parents. The Boomtown Babes and BMS Choir performed, too! Thanks to The River Assembly of God for providing hot dogs, BMS StuCo for providing water, and BMS S2S for serving free popcorn! It was a stellar night, complete with tons of raffle prizes! Dr. Gibbs also presented to BMS 6th and 7th graders, sharing about emotional resiliency.

Kindergarten students enjoyed their class prize for meeting their 6,400 minutes on the JGT record reading challenge of a lunch camp out and a pizza party with a movie! Shoutout to Ms. Stolle's KG class for reading the most minutes in the KG grade level! Ms. Stolle's class earned a class popcorn party today as well as gift cards to Red Robin and Braums! We are SO incredibly proud of all of our kindergarten students! 🎉🔥🏕️🍕🎥🍿🏆

We would like to thank all the sponsors who contributed to our raffle give away at the Brooks Gibbs Parent Seminar! Thank you for supporting Burkburnett ISD. We appreciate you!

Last week we surveyed our elementary staff and elementary parents to see if they would be willing to add 10 minutes (5 min in the a.m. and 5 min in the p.m.) to the elementary bell schedule for the rest of the year beginning next Monday so that all students could get Good Friday (April 18th) off. The surveys had overwhelming support for this. This does not effect the secondary bell schedules as they are already longer.
So, we will have April 18th off. See Calendar attached.
Elementary parents: This does not alter any other part of the school day. The drop off times for parents in the morning will not be changed to an earlier time, but kids need to be at school no later than 7:40.

Mrs. Potts' PK3 students enjoying special guest readers!

Selflessness to the core.
Connor's PE squad had the most points this 8 weeks, thus his squad members won a small prize.. One of the prizes was a good looking "monster truck," and there was only one of them. Connor immediately chose the truck, walked to a student in a different squad and handed him the monster truck. Connor said, "He really really loves monster trucks and when I saw it, I knew I wanted to give it to him!" What a generous and magnanimous thing to do, Connor!

Tower Pre-K students have been enjoying the "Tower Record Readers" Challenge this month. Our favorite was having parents come read to the class!

💍Today, we celebrated a special wedding as the letters Q and U tied the knot! 💍
The Kindergarten classes gathered together to proclaim their beautiful union of these two letters symbolizing how Q and U will always work together in words like “queen” and “quick”. Everyone hugged as they finished their vows promising to always stick together, forever and always! ☺️
