Kindergarten students blew down the house with their amazing puppet show readers theatre performance of The 3 Little Pigs!🐷🐷🐷🐺 Kindergarten students identified all story elements of The 3 Little Pigs and retold the plot. Kindergarten students also collaborated together to create their own props, backdrop and puppets! We are so very proud of them for all of their hard work and glad they got to perform for their peers, parents, and BISD administration! 🖤🧡

Several 3rd graders have recently seen the fruits of their right actions come true by choosing GaGa Ball to play at recess. GaGa ball is a game of honesty first, quick feet and lots of FUN! It brought much joy to my heart to notice the excellent sportsmanship these students exhibited!

Burkburnett ISD wants to recognize and celebrate all of our amazing counselors. Our counselors are tasked with doing more than they ever have before. They do a tremendous job of not only supporting our students and staff, but our entire district. They exemplify The Bulldog Way, and we would not be who we are without them. Thank you Counselors!!!

Please join BISD in celebrating our amazing School Board. We will recognize them tonight at our regular Board meeting at 7:00 pm. Collectively, our Board has 70 years of combined service to BISD and the Community of Burkburnett. Five of our Board members have gone above and beyond and have completed the training required to become a Master Trustee. Being a School Board member is oftentimes a thankless position, but we truly value the dedication and commitment our Board has shown over the years. They are Bulldogs through and through and exemplify The Bulldog Way! We say "Thank You" to Board President and Master Trustee Keith Myers, Board Vice President and Master Trustee Robin Bachert, Board Secretary and Master Trustee Les Healton, Board Member and Master Trustee Terry Klipp, Board Member and Master Trustee Frank Andrajack, Board Member Doug Smith, and Board Member Jimmy Beeson.

Students in 1st-5th grade are stamping their singing star in their passports on the journey of music. Students created a video in tents or in the hall demonstrating how to stand on the risers, sing 3 vocal warmups, the 6 voices, a solfege scale with hand motions. In addition they had to sing The National Anthem, "The Journey of a Veteran," "Sing for Joy," and a military service song. They had to demonstrate beat, rhythm, and tempo, and improvise and compose a song. Lastly, they had to listen, reflect, and critique a peer recording. Congratulations to all the students and now we move to the percussion star!
