Out of an abundance of caution, BISD will delay the start of school tomorrow, Jan 9th exactly 2 hours from our normal start times. Buses will run two hours later than normal. We will assess the situation again in the morning and will call if we need to cancel school. If we decide to cancel, we will call by 7:30am.

It's Senior Night for the Lady Bulldogs so the house will be packed! Come early, yell loud, and stay late. Boys & Girls JV play at 5:00 PM. The Varsity girls and Freshmen boys will play at 6:15 PM. The Dunkin Dogs will hit the floor around 7:30 PM.

Parents and Community Members,
This message is to inform you that we will be conducting a test of our newly upgraded emergency broadcast system at the high school tomorrow, Friday, December 20th, at 11:00 AM.
What to Expect:
• You will hear lockdown commands through the outdoor speaker system
• Multiple horns/speakers around the school facility will be activated
• Flashing lights will be visible on the building exterior
• The test will be brief but audible to nearby residents
• This is ONLY A TEST - no action is required
Important Notes:
• No students will be present on campus during this test
• This test involves our new speaker system installed over the summer
• Normal activities in the surrounding area can continue as usual

BHS students, pack the stands to cheer on our Lady Dawgs - we've got some exciting giveaways planned throughout the game. During the girls varsity half-time, we'll be drawing names for a special on-court competition:
1. Scan the QR code to enter your name for a chance to participate - you must be present to win and a Burkburnett High School Student! Students will be draw to participate in the game.
2. When the music plays, walk around the Bean Bag Chairs.
3. When the music stops, rush to the basketball hoop and start shooting. You can't stop until you make a basket!
4. Once you make a shot, run and sit in a bean bag chair to claim your spot. Last person with no chair is out.

Excitement filled the air today as I.C. Evans students celebrated their learning about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! 🎈🎉 Watching their colorful balloons soar high into the sky, spectators lined the streets to witness the magic of their parade celebration.
Tower Elementary PK- 1st kiddos marched the halls with their Balloons over Broadway this morning. They even had their very own Santa Clause to end the parade.
