We were honored to welcome Burkburnett High School alum and Wichita County District Attorney John Gillespie back to campus yesterday! He spoke with our Psychology, Forensic Science, and AP Literature students about criminal psychology and prosecution. Our students walked away inspired and better informed—thank you, Mr. Gillespie!

The next audition for band students will be the ATSSB Region 7 Band Audition on Saturday, December 6. This audition is the first step in the ATSSB All-State Band process.

The District Band Clinic/Concert will take place on Saturday, December 13, in Seymour. Please join me in congratulating these students on their achievements!

Last Thursday, Nov 13, the following students performed at Arborlawn UMC in Fort Worth for the TMEA Treble Honor Choir and Mixed Region Choir performances directed by Dr. Napoles of University of North Texas and by Dr. McClean, Assoc Choral Director of Baylor University.

Mixed Choir: Madelynn Beeson, Grace Williams, Claire Longley, Caroline Rorabaw, Christian Youngblood, Olivia Mini, Mattie Burris, Thomas Veron and Matthew Ramos.
Treble Choir: Katie Miltner, Raegan Bradbury, Victoreah Richards, and Caylee Goins.

Additionally, the mixed choir students advanced to pre-Area auditions held at Tarleton University yesterday, Nov 17th. Students were competing for the top 6 chairs of their voice part to advance to the next level. We are pleased to announce that we have 4 students advancing and two alternates to the Area round of TMEA All-State Choir Auditions! Area is the last round of the All State process and will be held at China Spring HS in Waco, TX on January 10th.
