Congrats to BHS Advanced Placement teachers and students!!! We had more students this year to take AP exams and a higher percentage passing rate than we had in the four previous years. In total, AP students with scores 3+ will receive $17,150!!!

BISD would like to make sure everyone knows about the Yellow-Rose Sertoma Club's Project Back to School event to be held on July 27 at Overton Ray from 9-11 am. LAST WEEK TO PURCHASE GRADUATION PHOTOS-DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, JUNE 21st! Since there are a large amount of photos – I broke it up into Categories for easier viewing. To view the images - open the gallery and if you will look to the top left and you will see 4 tabs: Highlights - contains the Class Photo of them throwing their hats Processional - this folder contains the entrance of graduates and some candids before the graduation started Ceremony, Color Guard, Speeches, Choir/Band, Scholarships - this folder contains photos of all that is listed as well as candids of some of the graduates. Receiving Diploma - this folder contains each student receiving their diploma Exit - this folder contains their exit (with a big ole smile on their face!) They are all in order as the evening occurred. If you would like to purchase a package/photo – all you have to do is click on the photo of your child and click the shopping cart on the upper right. It will take you into the store for you to select either a package or individual print sizes. All of the "Receiving Diploma" photos come with a customized border (see sample photo in the Highlights tab). If you have any questions or need any assistance – please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am asking that everyone please order by the deadline of Friday, June 21st for ordering. Burkburnett ISD is thrilled to welcome Rick Gates as our new Head Girls Basketball Coach! Coach Gates joins us from Burnet High School, where he led the Lady Bulldogs to remarkable successes, including the State Semi-Finals and Regional Finals during his impressive 7-year tenure. Coach Gates is not only a proven winner on the court but also a dedicated family man. He is married to Betty Jo Gates, and together they have three wonderful children: Grace, a student at the University of Texas; Ryan, a junior; and Eli, a 8th grader. We are confident that Coach Gates will bring his winning spirit and dedication to our Lady Bulldogs, and we can't wait to see the incredible achievements our team will accomplish under his leadership.
