On Tuesday we took 10 BHS Varsity Choir students to compete at Tarleton University.
They were competing for the top 6 chairs to be able to advance to AREA in January.
Area is the last step in the All-State Choir Process in Texas and it is very difficult to get to the last round.
I am proud to announce we have 5 students moving on to Area!
Please join me in congratulating our Area finalists in choir this year:
Katie Miltner, 6th Chair Alto
Caroline Rorabaw, 5th Chair Alto
Christian Youngblood, 4th Chair Alto
Claire Longley, 3rd Chair Alto
Thomas Veron, 1st Chair Bass
We also have an additional shout out for Ian Kurtzhals who made 2nd alternate to the Tenor room!
Congrats Burk Choir on a job well done!
Thank you to all who auditioned through out the entire process!

ATTENTION FANS TRAVELING TO MINERAL WELLS THIS WEEK:
You can use the following link to purchase tickets online before arriving: https://www.mwrams.net/HTtickets
Clear Bag Policy: All Mineral Wells ISD facilities enforce a clear bag policy to ensure safety of students and guests. I have attached the flyer with information for you to share with your fans. All Spectators entering an extracurricular event at Mineral Wells High School will only be allowed to bring a clear bag into the event or a small clutch.
A Spectator/Fan brings a bag that does not fit the criteria will be asked to return the bag to their vehicle. When it gets colder, they may bring a blanket by tossing them over their shoulder or arm.
Fine Print: The Clear Bag Policy ONLY applies to the fans/spectators that come to the game/event. Student groups such as bands, cheerleaders, drill teams, and trainers will be allowed to have their normal bags if they enter with their groups at the appropriate entrances. If a fan comes in with any medical equipment that does not fit within the clear bag policy, we will politely check to verify, and then let them enter. Press/Media personnel need to have their credentials showing to bring in their equipment.
