BHS students in C4TECH taught coding to Overton Ray and Tower 5th grade elementary students during STEM Day on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Babes competed in Frisco on Saturday and came home with several awards! We are so proud of them! Overall Team- 2nd Runner up in our Division Kick- 1st Place Best in Class Platinum and Choreography Award Hip Hop- 1st Runner Up Platinum and Choreography Award Pom- 2nd Runner Up Platinum and Choreography and Performance Award Lyrical-2nd Runner Up and Platinum with a Choreography Award Courtlyn Moseley Solo: Platinum and Choreography Award Academic Award- Team GPA Average 3.6 ** Platinum award means that we scored above 90 on every routine!

On Saturday, February 17, 40 students represented Burkburnett High School at the UIL Region 7 Solo and Ensemble competition. We had a very successful day bringing home 41 Superior Rating medals. Of those students, 5 qualified for two events, and, with the inclusion of vocal solos, 3 students qualified for three events (VERY rare). Last weekend there were 15 Varsity Choir individuals who competed at the UIL Solo Contest @ WFHS. Everyone did a fantastic job singing their solos from memory (most in other languages too!) and were well prepared for their performance. The judge was impressed by the BHS choir work ethic. Today, BHS celebrated our SRO Officer Deason with a Scavenger Hunt to test his detective skills. He scored an 8/8 for a perfect record. We appreciate you, Officer Deason!

We are proud to announce that BHS-S2S leader DeLaney Reitz was 1 of 10 students worldwide chosen to attend the Francis Hesselbein Student Leadership Program sponsored by Military Child Education Coalition. The program will be at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This past weekend our All-Stater, John Porterfield, did a fantastic job performing in the All-State SS Choir in San Antonio, TX. He even had an acting feature in one of the pieces at the final Concert!

Burkburnett ISD wants to recognize and celebrate all of our amazing counselors. Our counselors are tasked with doing more than they ever have before.
