We are thrilled to welcome Trey (Spoon) Horn to the Burkburnett ISD family!
Trey brings a unique blend of life experience and passion for education to our district. A proud graduate of West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (Class of 2012), Trey spent many successful years in the insurance industry, growing and running his own business before answering the call to education.
While Trey may be new to the classroom, his heart has always been in education. He's coming home to Burkburnett with a clear mission: to encourage and motivate students, develop our athletic programs, and prepare mentally strong students for life beyond high school. When he's not in the classroom or on the field, you'll find Trey spending quality time with family and friends, supporting youth sports and activities, hitting the golf course, or traveling to the ski slopes.
Trey is excited about building meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues while learning from the incredible educators already here. He's passionate about developing and growing our programs and is thrilled to be back home in the community he loves.
Please join us in giving Trey a warm Burkburnett welcome! We're excited to see the positive impact he'll make on our students and programs. His combination of real-world business experience, athletic passion, and genuine care for student development makes him a perfect addition to our team.

Starting in the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years, Burkburnett students who qualify for reduced-price meals will now receive both breakfast and lunch at NO COST.

Starting now, Burkburnett ISD has a clear bag policy for ALL events to keep everyone safe!
✅ WHAT YOU CAN BRING:
Clear plastic bags (12" x 12" x 6" max)
1-gallon clear plastic storage bags (4.5" x 6.5" max)
Small purses/clutches - these don't have to be clear (5" x 5" max)
❌ WHAT'S NOT ALLOWED:
All other bags including backpacks, tote bags, camera cases, and more are prohibited, see graphic for details.
*Entrances at all BISD events will allow for screening of any medically necessary items or equipment not able to fit within the bag policy requirements, as well as media personnel
