Join us this Tuesday, 12.10.24 for the Burkburnett Lady Bulldogs District Opener against the Eagle Mountain Lady Nights at the Danny Nix Gymnasium! BHS students, pack the stands to cheer on our Lady Dawgs - we've got some exciting giveaways planned throughout the game. During the girls varsity half-time, we'll be drawing names for a special on-court competition: 1. Scan the QR code to enter your name for a chance to participate - you must be present to win and a Burkburnett High School Student! Students will be draw to participate in the game. 2. When the music plays, walk around the Bean Bag Chairs. 3. When the music stops, rush to the basketball hoop and start shooting. You can't stop until you make a basket! 4. Once you make a shot, run and sit in a bean bag chair to claim your spot. Last person with no chair is out. 5. The person to get the last chair wins $100! On Tuesday we took 10 BHS Varsity Choir students to compete at Tarleton University. They were competing for the top 6 chairs to be able to advance to AREA in January. Area is the last step in the All-State Choir Process in Texas and it is very difficult to get to the last round. I am proud to announce we have 5 students moving on to Area! Please join me in congratulating our Area finalists in choir this year: Katie Miltner, 6th Chair Alto Caroline Rorabaw, 5th Chair Alto Christian Youngblood, 4th Chair Alto Claire Longley, 3rd Chair Alto Thomas Veron, 1st Chair Bass We also have an additional shout out for Ian Kurtzhals who made 2nd alternate to the Tenor room! ATTENTION FANS: Due to the Holliday Lady Eagles still competing in volleyball playoffs Saturday afternoon, the Lady Bulldogs' basketball game against the Lady Eagles has been moved to an earlier time slot. The JV game will now start at 9 AM, followed by the Varsity game at 10:15 AM. Additionally, the Lady Bulldogs have a revised schedule now reflecting only one consolidated JV team.
